Great news for Apple lovers! It's first application of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion! Try and enjoy it!
Apple has started approving the very first Mac applications that are compatible with OS X Lion, the next major version of the company’s desktop operating system.
What’s New WordCrasher in Version 1.0.5
WordCrasher now takes advantage of new OS X Lion features: -
- Full-screen. Use the full-screen button or press CONTROL + COMMAND + F to toggle fullscreen mode under OS X Lion.
- Resume. Close WordCrasher at any time and resume your game right where you left it. Restart your Mac, and WordCrasher will resume straight away.
Developed by Kevin Ng, WordCrasher is a puzzle game that lets you create words as the letters fall down and pile up on the screen.
Players can aim to score high by taking a risk to make long words using rare letters
Like with most Tetris-style puzzle games, if the letters reach the top of the screen, the game is over.
According to its creator, WordCrasher has HD graphics and super smooth 60 frames per second animation, three difficulty modes, an INSANITY mode that tests even the most battle hardened of touch typists, 6 music tracks, and neat sound effects.
Kevin recently updated his app to version 1.0.5 which (as originally spotted by 9to5mac) adds full support for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
On Lion-equipped systems, WordCrasher can go full screen, and it can also leverage the Resume function in Lion.
Although fully compatible with Lion, WordCrasher only requires Mac OS X 10.6.5 (Snow Leopard) to run. The app costs 2 bucks.

Full-Screen Apps and Resume are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the enhancements delivered by Apple with OS X Lion.
In fact, Mac OS X 10.7 comes packed with roughly 250 new additions, the most noteworthy of which are Mission Control, Launchpad, new Multi-Touch gestures, Airdrop, and Versions.
Lion is expected to arrive in the Mac App Store any day now. The OS is compatible with Intel-based Macs (Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor) and requires a minimum 2GB of RAM to work.
Customer Reviews of the WordCrasher in Version 1.0.5
Solid & Addicting
by Allan Pierce
I bought this game after reading an article on OSXDaily.com that referenced it. Very addicting, beautiful graphics, great music. I give it four stars because there is one area where it falls short: The dictionary. I’ve typed in words like “Monday” and it wouldn’t take it. I’d like to be able to select actual dictionaries, like Websters. There is also an opportunity to learn new words with this game, so after each game, I’d like the option to see a list of all the words it accepted and their respective definitions.
Bottom line, it’s great game, don’t hesitate to buy it.
