After Tumblr, the most powerful man in the world has set up shop inGoogle's social network. As the 2012 presidential campaign is gearing up, the current president, and hopeful future president of the US, is leaving nothing to chance.

At this stage, the page doesn't reveal how many people have started following the US president, likely because the number is still small. But 4,500 people have +1'd the page.

Still, Obama has a long way to go to catch up to the current most popular person on the site, Britney Spears who snatched the top spot from Google head honcho Larry Page.
