1Password, the password manager and form filler from the folks at Agile Web Solutions, has recently been updated to include three changes and one bug fix. The application is specifically designed for Mac OS X users and comes in a variety of versions, suitable for single or group use.
In the latest version of 1Password, Agile Web Solutions claims to have changed the display of "Fill & Submit", "Fill" ⌥, "Delete" ⌃, and "Edit" ⇧ options in the browser menu. Also, the developers have renamed the "Bookmarks" menu item to "Go & Fill" and moved it to the top of the 1Password menu in the browser. The last change concerns a dialog, which now displays "Fill Last Generated Password" when there are no Logins available for the current page, while the password is generated.
As many have found out, 1Password is designed to remember all the online passwords that you insert on any web page or form, anytime, by using one single (master) countersign. It integrates directly into most browsers, and sports built-in, anti-phishing and keylogger protection. Mac owners can easily manage hundreds of passwords with one key. It supports Firefox, Camino, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, NetNewsWire, and of course, Apple's own Safari. Opera, unfortunately, isn't supported. An iPhone version of the app is also available for download via the iTunes App Store.
